BIOGRAPHY

Curriculum Vitae

Eden Auerbach Ofrat (born in 1979) is an Israeli video and video installation artist. In her works and video installations, Auerbach Ofrat deals with cultural archetypes, canonical or imaginary symbols, contradictory and complementary existential poles and a reliance on literary and mythical sources. Her work is done either through playing with given mythological elements and symbols or by creating “private” myths. Eden has won an America-Israel Foundation excellence scholarship and the Ministry of Culture, Education and Sports Young Artist Award. She exhibits in exhibitions in Israel and abroad, and her work can be found in the Israel Museum collection and in private collections in Israel and Europe.
